The year 2026 has only just begun, but at GMDE things are already well underway. The second edition of GMDE Tech Week was not simply a moment of technological update, but a genuine week of shared work, designed to strengthen the team and clearly define the direction for the months to come.
An opportunity to pause, exchange perspectives and realign, because innovation does not come from tools alone, but from the way people work together.
When team building becomes awareness
On 15 January, Tech Week took shape outside the office, with a special day at the Acqua & Farina restaurant in Agrate Brianza. The afternoon began with a welcome coffee, followed by a surprise activity designed to break patterns and stimulate new group dynamics: a Tai Chi, Qi Gong and Self-Defence session, which actively involved participants and concluded with the issuing of a certificate of participation. It was an informal yet meaningful moment, combining conviviality, enjoyment and novelty.
Kick-off meeting 2026: creating value together
This was followed by the company kick-off meeting, a key moment for discussion and alignment on projects, activities and objectives across all GMDE areas - Prepress, Publishing and Industry. Different fields, yet connected by a single common thread: enhancing GMDE’s value, strengthening its positioning and consolidating its ability to support clients on their digital transformation journeys. For 2026 as well, customer satisfaction remains the top priority across all GMDE markets.
To conclude, Carlo Caporizzi (CEO) announced a new event, the GMDE Summer Tech Week, scheduled from 29 June to 3 July 2026, anticipating another opportunity for shared discussion and growth. The day ended with the company dinner, a further team-building experience that put people at the centre, even before roles, strengthening the sense of belonging and a shared vision.
Workshops and discussion: a continuous exchange of know-how
Throughout the week, open thematic workshops alternated with dedicated team meetings. A deliberately open format, designed to encourage cross-functional discussion and direct involvement, creating opportunities for dialogue between different skills, roles and areas of the company.
The sessions, led by key board members such as Mauro Toselli (CTO), Stefano Gaetani (COO) and Simona Gotti (CFO), covered a range of topics that were diverse yet deeply interconnected: from leadership to project management, from personal and team organisation inspired by the Japanese 5S framework, to administrative, financial and corporate welfare aspects. Discussions focused on method and approach to work, awareness and practicality, digital transformation and operational best practices, without overlooking the more complex dynamics of everyday professional life, such as managing the so-called “meta problem”. Alongside moments of inspiration and insight, there was also a strong focus on very practical content related to taxation, incentives and services for employees and collaborators.
Specifically, the workshops included:
In addition to these sessions, the week was punctuated by strategic meetings between the COO, HR and external technicians, as well as meetings of the Development, Prepress, Publishing and Marketing & Sales teams. These were essential moments to turn ideas, vision and discussion into concrete actions, strengthening internal alignment and creating the conditions to face upcoming challenges with greater awareness and a shared direction.
More than a week, a new way of working
GMDE Tech Week proves to be not just an initiative repeated over time, but a true way of working. An approach that creates space for listening, encourages the sharing of expertise and builds strategies starting from the value of the people who contribute every day to the company’s growth.
The customers with whom GMDE works daily are more than 100 and... they are all satisfied
