The Euroclone Story
Founded in 1985, Euroclone has become a benchmark for the Italian scientific community thanks to its offering of biomedical and diagnostic products. The company has strengthened its position through international expansion and continuous innovation, also marketing its brand. Since 2019, Euroclone has been part of the AddLife AB Group, maintaining its identity while continuing to grow in both the Italian and international markets, with a firm commitment to innovation and reliability.
In light of its market expansion and diversification, Euroclone recognised the need for digital transformation. The company identified the importance of centralising and structuring its data on a single platform to improve accessibility and usability of business information. The main objective was to support the sales team with reliable data and streamline the distribution of information across multiple channels, reducing response times and enhancing operational efficiency. An integrated management system would ensure data consistency and accuracy across all digital touchpoints.
To support its growth and maintain high standards of efficiency, Euroclone chose GMDE as a strategic partner to implement a customised PIM (Product Information Management) solution tailored to its specific needs. The system centralises product data, creating a "single source of truth" with consistent and readily accessible information for both marketing and sales. GMDE’s PIM solution includes advanced automation capabilities, intuitive search tools, and full integration with Euroclone’s ERP system, enabling the sales team to manage orders more quickly and effectively.
One of the key benefits of working with GMDE is the ongoing evolution of the platform, ensuring the system remains up to date and compliant with current regulations. Building on the trust established, Euroclone has decided to expand the project further by integrating a product data approval workflow and implementing a DAM (Digital Asset Management) system to streamline digital content management. This strategy positions the company at the forefront of the biomedical sector, reinforcing its role as a reliable partner and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
The digital transformation has laid the foundation for integrated and advanced data management, equipping Euroclone to tackle future challenges and seize new growth opportunities with a robust and innovative infrastructure.
“The implementation of the PIM project marked a significant milestone in Euroclone’s digital innovation journey. As a distributor, we are constantly faced with the complexity of receiving product data from a multitude of suppliers, each with their own standards, formats, and information structures. The goal of harmonising and centralising this data—ensuring consistency and reliability across all channels—was undoubtedly one of the most challenging and strategic aspects of the project.
Adopting the PIM platform proved essential to overcoming this complexity. Today, we can rely on a single, up-to-date source of product data that efficiently feeds both internal processes and commercial activities. However, the true key to success lies in the ongoing care of the data itself: maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy requires continuous attention and strict governance, so that the information system always remains aligned with business needs and ready to support future growth.”
