The year now drawing to a close has been a truly significant one for GMDE. A year in which we worked intensively across several areas, while focusing in particular on two main pillars: consolidation and technological evolution.
Consolidation concerned all business areas, both internally and on the market, with substantial changes across virtually every part of the company. In particular, several pilot projects were carried out, enabling us on the one hand to explore innovative technologies and solutions, and on the other to validate our vision of the market of the future. All of this was accompanied by structural growth, a renewed organisational framework, and a new approach to project management. Together, these developments now allow us to look with confidence towards a broader market—one that includes not only SMEs, our traditional core segment, but also multinational companies based in Italy and abroad.
Technological innovation projects
One of the most important strands of the year involved digital transformation projects, spanning both corporate and editorial domains.
In the field of solutions supporting product information management for companies, among the many projects completed this year we are pleased to highlight just a few from diverse sectors—such as Irritec SpA, Nobili Rubinetterie, FAI – Fondo Ambiente Italiano, Elettrocanali and many others—each centred on advanced management of product data and digital assets.
On the editorial side—which for us encompasses daily, periodical and book publishing—we are proud to note that both Corriere dell’Umbria and La Sicilia chose GMDE to redesign their digital ecosystems, unifying daily print production with subscription and digital service management within a fluid and personalised platform. The same path was taken by the periodicals Il Timone and ItalyPost; the latter, in addition to transforming its entire digital offering, also chose to reintroduce a print edition with our support.
We close with the prepress sector which, contrary to what one might expect, brought us great satisfaction this year, with nearly twenty units installed across Italy. These range from traditional folding and punching systems for printing plates to CTP systems for both commercial printing and newspapers. Among the many, we can mention RCS Quotidiani, CSQ Centro Stampa Quotidiani, Tipre srl, Gedi Group, FAG SpA, Arti Grafiche Litoprint and Le Stampe di Alice.
As is clear from these three diverse yet interconnected areas, the projects are extremely heterogeneous. What unites them is GMDE’s strong design capabilities and its remarkable experience and flexibility in managing information and content in every form. These capabilities—refined over more than 30 years—continue to evolve daily and have culminated, after extensive investment and in-depth research, in a thoughtful and informed approach to the use of AI technologies across all the sectors mentioned above. Experience and awareness that we place at the service of our clients—past, present and future—to deliver scalable and reliable projects aimed at improving the production, distribution and use of information.
Strategic collaborations that enrich our offering
It has also been a year marked by collaborations that further expanded GMDE’s reach.
The renewed partnership with Panorama Journalism Academy strengthened the training of future media professionals, introducing modern and digital editorial workflows. The partnership with Shopware further reinforced our expertise in digital commerce, while the collaboration with Eye-Able strengthened our commitment to digital accessibility—a topic of increasing strategic relevance for online competitiveness.
In the publishing world, our long-standing partnerships with NavigaGlobal and WoodWing continue to guarantee the best technological solutions for our clients, now complemented by the addition of GLC’s digital solutions and those of Proges srl.
Meanwhile, our multi-year collaboration with the Digital Observatories of the Politecnico di Milano confirmed GMDE’s strategic role in research and dialogue on topics such as omnichannel marketing, B2B digital commerce and content transformation.
Our collaboration with ANES also continued, both within the National Association of Specialised Publishing and in the context of the B2B Marketing Conference, alongside participation in Soiel International events such as the Cday Conference: marketing in the era of digital and AI.
Certifications
In terms of innovation, 2025 saw the introduction of new solutions and the achievement of important certifications.
The extended adoption of Pimcore’s PXM (Product Experience Management) enabled many companies to transform their data into more personalised, high-performing omnichannel experiences (read more).
Alongside technological advancements, we continued to reinforce quality and security standards: the renewal of ISO 27001/2022 and ISO 9001 EA37 certifications, together with compliance with UNI/PdR 125:2022 on gender equality, confirm our ongoing commitment to excellence.
To this we added the ISO 56002 certification as Digital Innovators and the adoption of ESG protocols, with results of considerable significance, as reported on our corporate website.
Presence at prestigious events
We were honoured to take part in an impressive number of public events this year. These were extensively covered across our communication channels, and listing them all here would be nearly impossible—both for their sheer number and the risk of inevitably forgetting someone.
What we can say is that, for the first time, we comfortably exceeded an average of two events per month. For a company like ours—focused on technology, services and innovation, and not a communication agency—these figures are particularly noteworthy.
This reflects our determination and the confidence we have in the work we deliver every day for hundreds of clients, including newspaper, magazine and book publishers, manufacturing and distribution companies, and both commercial and newspaper printers.
Our warmest wishes
Looking ahead, GMDE is preparing to enter 2026 with renewed energy and the awareness of those who know they have done everything necessary—carefully and consistently—to face new market challenges across all areas in which we operate.
We continue along a path begun many years ago, always guided by constant innovation, collaboration and the development of solutions capable of generating real value for companies, publishers and printers.
Challenges evolve continuously, but our direction remains clear: to offer advanced technologies, specialised services and a strategic vision that supports organisations as they move towards increasingly integrated, data-driven and competitive models.
GMDE will continue to be the reliable partner for which it is known—often recognised even by competitors and by those who have not yet worked with us but have heard of our reputation.
May 2026 be a year of evolution and progress for us all. Challenges will certainly arise, but we are ready to face them by your side.
The customers with whom GMDE works daily are more than 100 and... they are all satisfied
