Edizioni Diritti e Ragione was founded in 2015 thanks to FAI (Fondazione dell’Avvocatura Italiana) with the aim of enhancing the role of the legal profession and promoting the dissemination of individual defence rights, through the publication and distribution of editorial content across print, audiovisual and digital media, in line with the Foundation’s cultural and educational mission.
However, the evolution of the publishing landscape and the growing weight of digital channels made a further step necessary: building technological foundations capable of keeping pace with the current standards required by digital publishing.
The systems in use, particularly those dedicated to content management and digital editions, no longer met the operational needs of the newsroom. The publisher therefore recognised the need to adopt a single, integrated and scalable solution, able to simplify workflows, improve the reader experience and create solid technological foundations for future development.
GMDE supported Il Dubbio in a technological renewal journey that focused not on graphic redesign, but on the overall system architecture. The project took shape through the adoption of an integrated suite including GN4 for print management, the CMS (Content Management System) for creating, managing and publishing the website’s digital content, and VNP (Virtual NewspaperPaper), the digital newsstand platform for online publication distribution and subscription management.
An ecosystem designed to centralise the management of editorial content across print and web, streamline operational processes and offer readers a smoother, more consistent and linear reading experience.
The go-live was rolled out in two phases: an initial phase related to print, already in production, followed by the release of the website and VNP. Today, the integrated system is fully operational.
This gradual approach made it possible to guide the newsroom through the change, ensuring operational continuity and full control over the new environment.
For Il Dubbio, this represents a significant step forward, not merely a technological upgrade, but a real shift in perspective in the management of the editorial project, with a focus on digital opportunities and the challenges of the years ahead.
